It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Theodore Kaj Madsen, affectionately known as “Teddy,” a cherished member of the Owosso, Michigan community, who passed away on February 6, 2026, at the age of 24. Though his life was far too brief, Teddy’s impact on those around him was deep, meaningful, and enduring.
Born on April 15, 2001, Teddy was a proud graduate of Gulfport High School, Class of 2019, where he distinguished himself both academically and athletically. He later continued his education at Pearl River Community College, laying the groundwork for a future defined by hard work, integrity, and ambition. Teddy carried those values into his professional life, earning the respect of colleagues through his work with Sam’s Construction, Pete’s Plumbing, and PSG. His dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic reflected the character of a young man determined to build a meaningful life.
Teddy was a devoted father who found his greatest joy in time spent with his beloved daughter, Chandler Ivy Madsen. He cherished every moment with her, creating memories that will forever be held close by his family. An avid outdoorsman, Teddy found peace and happiness in hunting, fishing, and being surrounded by nature. His adventurous spirit, infectious warmth, and genuine love for life brought comfort and joy to all who knew him.
Athletically, Teddy achieved notable success as a B2B State Champion with the Gulfport High School Boys Soccer team, an accomplishment that spoke to his discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Beyond accolades, however, he will be remembered most for his kind heart, loyal nature, and unwavering love for his family.
Teddy is survived by his loving parents, Henrik and Jennifer Madsen; his daughter, Chandler Ivy Madsen, and her mother, Hannah Valdez; his siblings, Iben Riley Madsen and Bailey Alice Madsen; his grandparents, extended family, and a wide circle of relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Kaj Madsen, and cousins Joseph and Andrew Peterson.
A private graveside service will be held for the family, followed by a public Celebration of Life on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at the Long Beach Harbor Pavilion in Long Beach, Mississippi.
The Madsen family extends heartfelt gratitude for the love, prayers, and support shown during this time of loss. Teddy’s light will continue to shine through the lives he touched, and his memory will forever remain a source of love and strength. Rest peacefully, Teddy. You will always be loved and remembered.
